Monday is SUPERHERO DRESS-UP DAY!

Our students are the real superheroes because showing up, working hard, and being ready to learn every day is a superpower! 💪📖

On Monday, students are invited to dress as their favorite superhero—or create their own superhero look—as we celebrate the amazing Cougars they are! 🐾

For the students who do not want to give away their superhero secret identity, they can participate with a relaxed dress day.

Hillcrest is incredibly fortunate to have teachers who bring so much heart, dedication, and passion to our school each day. Today, we are excited to recognize two phenomenal educators:

✏️ Mrs. Gracie Hatchett – Kindergarten Teacher

From building strong foundations with our youngest Cougars to preparing our fifth graders for their next chapter, these two teachers make an incredible impact on our students and our school community.

Their influence reaches far beyond academics. Through the relationships they build, the encouragement they provide, and the care they show each day, they help make Hillcrest a place where students feel valued, supported, and excited to learn.

This morning’s, See You at the Pole, gathering was a meaningful moment for our Hillcrest community. We are so proud of our students who stepped forward to lead in prayer, recite scripture, and demonstrate kindness and courage in front of their peers. Thank you to everyone who helped make this student-led gathering possible. It was wonderful to see our students support one another and share something important to them. ❤️💙

This Friday, September 25, 2026, we will celebrate Dolly Parton and her incredible contributions to education!

We invite all students and staff to wear their favorite Dolly apparel, pink, and/or Western wear!

💗 Through her dedication to literacy and love for children, Dolly has helped place books in the hands of countless young readers, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and helping build brighter futures across Tennessee. Her impact reminds us that big dreams often begin with a good book!

This week at Hillcrest: Our annual "See You at the Pole" event will be held at 7:50 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2026. This event is open to all students, but not required. Morning arrival procedures will remain the same. Students will report to their homeroom first, and breakfast will be available.

Another student, Lyla Baker, in Miss Ali's kindergarten class knows her birthday and earned her cupcake for their birthday wall! Once all students have earned their cupcakes, the class will celebrate with a cupcake party!

Attention Parents! All students of Obion County Schools now have the availability to participate in Telehealth Services. We are currently only offering mental health appointments, with general health services coming soon. We only have telehealth machines at Obion County Middle School, Obion County Central High School, and South Fulton Middle/High School. Students in the elementary schools will have to be transported to the closest middle or high school to take part.
